At Amani Family Services, our firm belief is that early intervention and prevention gives children the best chance.
We work with schools on a half day or full day basis to provide therapeutic services for children experiencing mild to moderate emotional wellbeing problems.
Since you know your pupils best, referrals will come from you. We will conduct an initial assessment with the identified pupil(s) and then determine whether to provide six sessions, twelve sessions, or ongoing sessions.
Where appropriate, we also make recommendations for family sessions, or sessions with parents
Frontline practitioners such as social workers, GPs, health visitors and teachers are best poised to notice and address issues of relationship conflict in families. Group sessions can be beneficial for children who are united by common experiences. Not only do they enable children to recognise that they are not alone, but they also learn how to be a resource to other group members, which helps build their confidence.
The following can be delivered as time limited groups, or as one off workshops in schools, youth clubs, or other settings:
If you are concerned about a particular child, adult or family whom you are working with, we may be able to help. You can contact us about making a referral. We can also be commissioned to provide the following parenting programmes:
